Meet Calvin Ma (@calvinmasculpts)
Hello again everyone! Happy to be back and to share with you guys how I pack my cups. Generally, if I were packing a Yunomi or something less fragile, bubblewrap does the trick. However, the bird handles can be fragile with these two cups, so I pack them the same way as my sculptural work. Upholstery foam is dense/firm enough to hold your work in place and soft enough to absorb the bumps along the way when it’s in transit.
Foam can be a bit pricey, so it’s only cost-effective when using it for delicate work. I happen to have much smaller foam pieces around the studio because I mainly ship sculptures, so the smaller pieces end up being used on packing cups and other smaller/fragile work. Thank you for watching, and feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions.
