2022 NCECA MULTICULTURAL
FELLOWSHIP EXHIBITION
JURIED BY SANA MUSASAMA

FEBRUARY 11–MARCH 17, 2022
BLUE LINE ARTS, 405 VERNON ST., STE 100, ROSEVILLE, CA
Reception: Thursday, March 17, 5:00-9:00pm

The 11 artists in this exhibition, guided by the rhythms of their own lives, have impressed me with their citizenship, their fortitude to push forward, create, and step up, even when grappling with the often-tough subject matter. The sources that inform their work speak of labor, land exploitation, displacement, conflict, and loss, but also speak of identity, celebration, self-love, unity, gratitude, community, survival, and transformation. Although these artists are multi-directional in their approaches, each of them has used the visual language thoughtfully and skillfully to convey their truths. – Sana Musasama

Participating Artists: Abiam Alvarez, Japheth Asiedu-Kwarteng, Yael Braha, Summer Brooks, Grace Gittelman, Rika Kova, Walter Moore, Neha Pullarwar, Silvia Ritterling-Alvarez, Antra Sinha and Hye Rin Woo.
