Throwing Bowls – Ceramics I

Welcome to my instructional video on throwing bowls on the pottery wheel! In this video, we will be covering the basics of preparing the clay and using the pottery wheel to create a bowl. Whether you are new to pottery or just looking to improve your skills, I hope this video will be helpful for you. We will start by looking at a few different types of bowl shapes and then move on to centering the clay on the wheel. From there, we will use our hands and a variety of tools to shape and smooth the bowl. I will also demonstrate how to undercut bottom of the bowl and how to trim the excess clay from the rim.
