Slab Plates Part 1 – Ceramics I

Welcome to our ceramic slab plate demonstration video! In this video, we will be showing you how to create beautiful and unique plates using ceramic slabs.

First, we will start by preparing the clay and rolling out a slab. Once the clay is rolled out, we will use a template or stencil to cut out the shape of the plate. You can use any shape or size that you desire.

After cutting out the shape of the plate, we will smooth the edges and add any decorative elements or patterns to the surface of the plate. This can be done using a variety of tools such as stamps, texture rollers, or even your hands.

Once the decorative elements are added, we will let the plate dry to leather hard so we can finish it up next class.
