2017 Conference Fab Lab Demonstration featuring Adam Chau
Chau will demonstrate how he utilizes digital technology to create forms and unique surfaces. Handmade brushes use a 3-D printed adapter to go onto a CNC machine and create gestural marks in cobalt, even when the same toolpath is used.
Adam will go over specific processes including lasercut templates, binding compounds for oxides, G/M-code creation and manipulation, and firing techniques. Additional conversation will be around adopting digital technology in schools, non-profits, and home studios.
