Descriptions:

2017 NCECA Conference Fab Lab session featuring Stacy Jo Scott
This presentation will consider the relationships between digital fabrication, clay and the body.
It will examine what technology can teach us about materiality and transcendence, and explore the possibility that bodies and machines are not as separate as we might assume.
We will consider examples of historic technologies, as well as cognitive and queer theories to engage these inquiries.
